Prior to the visit to Beijing, I did some checking on the Muslim/Halal food around the Chaoyang District. A few website has been very useful on providing me with the info. One of them is this, Wangasi Muslim Flavor which is located nearby. Well according to the address anyway. This place is big and to find one shop using a map filled with Chinese will be a challenge. After going in circles, i’ve found the shop exactly behind the Sofitel. Feeling a bit cautious since not sure what is this place. Previous visit all meals was prepared by the tour agency so it was not an issue. This is different, I alone have to validate the ‘halalness’. Insya-allah.

After lunch, I went back to the hotel via the subway. There are three stations in between the Hotel and the office, Dawanglu (大望路), Guomao (国贸) and Shuangjing (双井). Guomao is the exchange station whereby I have to change trains to get to the next station. The Subway line is numbered from Line 1 to 10. A flat fare of RMB(¥) 2.00 with unlimited transfers applies to all lines. How cool is that? I decided to get the passcard. Have to asked other passenger using sign languages and asking them whether they can speak English or not. Most of them are quite helpful. The passcard costs RMB(¥) 40.00 with RMB(¥) 20.00 credit to be used.
