A New Journey Of Sorts - part un

It has been a long 8 months for both of us. And its getting close. In the coming weeks im gonna be a father, insya-allaah :-). However, this entry is not about the impending delivery but how my own upbringing by my parents especially my father have shape my personality, quirkyness etc etc etc. Last weekend, i brought my wife to the MPO. This is the first time we're here and to listen to the beautiful sounds of rodgers and hammerstein...i bought a pair tickets for my parents as well since it was my father who introduced me to rodgers and hammerstein.... I loved the sound of music..so does my siblings....my father introduced to us the musicals when we were small around 8 or so...in tthe opening sequence he says this...."this is austria...its different from australia..my friend been here and its beautiful...." The songs in the musicals grew inside us....when im 16, my favourite things, and of course.....do, re, mi.... Its amazing how after all of this years..the introduction my father made stuck with me and how someday....i will say these words to my child..."This is Austria..not Australia..ur grandfathers' friend has been to this place....and its beautiful..." Imagine that my wife is not exposed to the sound of music....i have to find an online version i.e. from torrent where else? And a private viewing if the movie....to appreciate rodgers and hammerstein is to luv their best work... So luckily my wife loved the show and cant wait for it...qnd the baby jumped with joy or rather punched witb gusto the tummy of my wife hehhehehehehe..·....

4 GB size limit broken...

After some more soul searching, decided to copy the file into tablets main storage..Voila! it works..Now to see if it plays well....

Comix galore

Wel i have to give up on te whole NTFS-ext3-exfat experiments. I did however managed to get the comic viewer working and the screen is glorious.

External storage - updates

Now formatting the microsd to ext3. Using Linux minty Helena. Nothing fancy.just normal ext3 formats.

Read somewhere that since honeycomb is based off linux so it should read ext3 formats. Guess should try and format it and give it a try. Found a utility that read ext3 partition from windows 7. Should be interesting to see. B-)

Testing out the Swype function. Quite intuitive. Anyway, just found out that Android does not support ntfs or exfst for that matter. Damn it Microsoft. We need this!

Frustations :-[

Well after a few more hours with honeycomd found certain apps not compatible with this device. Aaaaaarghhhhh. Not even the official blogger is compatible. Hope they fix this fast.

Krabi Baby

 

 

25th May 2011, We are off to Krabi, Thailand. Krabi (Thai: กระบี่) is a town (thesaban mueang) on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of the Krabi River where it empties in Phangnga Bay. As of 2005 the town has a population of 24,986. The town is the capital of Krabi Province and Krabi district.

Actually,the trip has been a subject off and on again due to work commitments and other stuff. Until the last we’re not sure whether we could make it. A month before the trip, all arangements fell nicely into place and off we got on AK804 and off to Krabi.
